Location above the valley

The Rastbichl is a hill above the valley. In front of the house lies the meadow, behind it stand the Stubai mountains, and somewhere below the stream goes by. The valley road is far enough away that you no longer hear it. Five minutes to the centre of Neustift, twenty-five to the Stubai Glacier.

The Rastbichlhof was the first certified organic hotel in the Stubai Valley. We are a Gold partner of BIO AUSTRIA and have been a member of BIO HOTELS since 2023. The certificate is checked every year by an independent body. Every ingredient and every drink in this house is certified organic, including the coffee, the wine and the beer. We heat with biomass. The electricity comes from our own photovoltaic system and one hundred percent green electricity. The water comes from the tap, treated with Grander, which saves us thousands of plastic bottles every year. Whatever emissions remain after that, we do not simply write off. We support climate protection projects through ClimatePartner, because that is better than nothing, but it does not make your stay neutral. That would be too easy.

The farm has belonged to our family since 1928. Andreas and Barbara Steuxner have run the house since 2022, as the fourth generation. If you ask for your hosts, you will find them in the house. Thirty rooms, all with a balcony, plenty of wood and calm colours.

Finnish sauna, organic sauna, steam room, infrared, quiet rooms and a heated indoor pool. Outside, two thousand square metres of meadow with a sun terrace and a herb garden. There are larger spas in the Stubai Valley. Ours is built so that nobody competes for a lounger in the afternoon. Gold at the DACH Spa Awards 2025.
