The first organic hotel in the Stubai Valley
A Bichl is a hill. Not a summit, not a viewpoint, simply a rise above the valley where it feels good to stop. Walkers and pilgrims saw it that way centuries ago and rested here. That is where the name comes from. The farm has belonged to our family since 1928. In front of the house lies the meadow, behind it stand the Stubai mountains, and somewhere below the stream goes by. The valley road is far enough away that you no longer hear it.Five minutes to the centre of Neustift. Twenty-five to the Stubai Glacier. Eight hundred and fifty kilometres of marked trails start almost at the door.
And if you decide to do none of it on a given day, that is perfectly fine here.

Organic cuisine
Not part of the menu, but all of it. Every ingredient and every drink in this house is certified organic, including the coffee, the wine and the beer. There is no small print. In the morning your egg, cooked fresh, the way you like it, with bread from our own bakery. Cake in the afternoon. Four courses in the evening, a vegetarian menu every day and a vegan one on request.
Spa
Finnish sauna, organic sauna, steam room, infrared, quiet rooms and a heated indoor pool. Outside, two thousand square metres of meadow with a sun terrace, a herb garden and the stream you can hear from the loungers. Gold at the DACH Spa Awards 2025.
What we are working on
The change to organic came step by step, but one thing was clear from the start: all the way or not at all. The baker was the hardest part. From the first day my parents took in guests, our bread came from the same family bakery in the village. They could not supply organic, so we had to part ways. Since then we bake more and more of our bread ourselves. We heat with biomass, and our electricity comes from our own photovoltaic system and one hundred percent green power. Whatever emissions remain, we do not simply write off. We support climate protection projects through ClimatePartner, because that is better than nothing, but it does not make your stay neutral. That would be too easy.
